About This Card
The Community Intel Grab Card gives officers a structured way to record safeguarding-relevant information during community encounters, stop and account contacts, welfare checks, and neighbourhood patrols. Completed cards should be transferred to Niche, COMPACT, or your force's intelligence system at the end of the shift.
- Print at A5 double-sided for a shirt-pocket card, or A4 single-sided for a shift briefing folder
- Use a new card for each encounter — do not combine multiple subjects on one card
- Treat all completed cards as sensitive — do not leave in vehicles or public spaces
- The "safeguarding flags" section on the card cross-references Resources 01–13 for follow-up
A completed grab card containing personal data is a data protection document. Do not photograph it with a personal device. Submit or destroy in line with your force's intelligence handling policy. Retain for the minimum period specified by your Records Management policy.
